ALIGNED partners from INSA Toulouse attended LCM 2025 in Palermo, one of the world’s largest gatherings dedicated to life cycle thinking and sustainability. This year’s theme, “Global to Local,” brought together more than 1,000 participants from over 50 countries, including professionals from academia, industry, NGOs, and public institutions.
They presented the ALIGNED project case study, ‘Consequential Lifecycle Assessment of Bio-Phenol Recovery from Softwood Pyrolysis. The project partners shared insights on consequential LCA, marginal suppliers, and biobased alternatives in a session chaired by Matthias Fischer, Head of Life Cycle Engineering at Fraunhofer IBP, Germany.
